Learn to Make Goat Milk Cheese

Picture
Have you ever wondered how to make cheese?  It isn't nearly as hard as most people think it might be, and once you have learned how to make a very basic Feta cheese you can then do so very much with it just by adding in your favorite spices!  The Feta is also good just left it in the original salt brine.

Even though I own my own dairy goats and would have nothing to really lose if I failed, I was a basket case making my first batch of cheese. I read and re-read everything to do time and time again while in the process.  Now, I don't need any books to help make this simple cheese and would love to teach you how to do it yourself without all the fuss and worry!

I am offering classes that will teach you to make the basic Feta cheese and that will also give you a look into making Mozzarella and Ricotta cheeses.

The next class will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 2PM at my farm in Blythe, GA.  The class is limited to 5 people and will fill up fast, so if you are interested please contact us as soon as possible!  The cost is $20.00 per person, and the class will take approx. 3 hours (or a little longer for "show and tell.")

The milk that we will be using comes from our small herd of Nubian, LaMancha and Alpine dairy goats.  The class will also discuss the differences in the milking breeds and what our experience has shown that each has to offer.

We look forward to seeing you there!

**Please note that raw milk may not be sold for human consumption.
We will be using raw, unpasteurized goat milk for the class.**
