Blanket Laundry & Repair
A little bit of magic and a whole lot of patience!

Picture
We have been washing and repairing blankets for some of the top hunt barns in this area for the past 9 or 10 years and are now expanding to others who are interested.  With the enormous size of some of the blankets, washing is $15.00 each.  Some of the smaller blankets that do not have high necks or extra tail coverings can be done for $12.00.

Repairs start at $10.00, but a lot can be accomplished for that price.  Repairs are functional only, but we will do the best that we can as far as matching color for cloth and stitching.  We will also do our best to see that the blanket will lay flat after the repair, however, turnout blankets usually have a "floating bottom" where a patch can cause the blanket to pucker.  We do everything we can to ensure that each blanket will be serviceable again (keeping you from having to purchase a new blanket mid-season) and we also do what we can to make the repairs look good, but once originally damaged there is no taking a blanket back to completely "like new" condition.

Many times, depending on what we already have in progress, we can have your blanket back within a day or two.  Our space is limited, however, so please be prepared to pick your blankets up after washing or repairs in a timely fashion.

Some before and after photos:

The blanket shown here was a nasty mess with a long piece missing, and unfortunately in this case there had to be an ugly patch on the outside (we usually try to do most of the patching on the underside where it won't be visible while the blanket is worn).  Also, we were not the only ones who to have repaired this blanket over the years.  You can see the previous patches in the pictures.  This was a size 84 blanket and it was very difficult to get it to behave on the sewing machine as there was just so much material to deal with when trying to get it to lay correctly!  It did turn out to be solid and usable after the repair.

This blanket had some tears that needed to be repaired, but the owner also wanted to know if we could do anything about the polka dots to make the blanket appear more professional.  We were able to completely remove the front panels and gussets that containted the polka dots and replace them with a more sedate black fabric.

**We can also waterproof your horse's blanket.  Contact us for rates and availability.**
